1968 BMW 700 LS LHD

£SOLD

1,000 miles

This BMW 700 LS is an extremely well-presented example that has benefitted from a recent sympathetic restoration and finished in a handsome Chine Blue hue. Mounted at the rear is a 697cc flat-twin engine producing 31bhp, which drives the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.

As mentioned, this 700 LS has enjoyed extensive recent restorative works on the exterior paintwork, interior and mechanically. These works were predominantly carried out on the continent in the past few years by specialists to the model - please contact for us to elaborate on the scope and quality of the work.

Further, when we purchased the car we sent the vehicle to SK Engine Services, for a full mechanical check over. All parts required were ordered from a BMW specialist in Germany, with the majority of attention on the carbs and spark plugs to ensure that this 700 LS performs as well as it presents.

In addition, new door handles and a bonnet catch were fitted, the wiper motor linkage was reassembled, and the brake master cylinder was replaced. Door aperture seals were supplied and installed, and various bulbs were renewed, with wiring also rerouted or repaired in places.

Accompanying the vehicle is the original owner’s manual, alongside a large box file containing various diagrams, old title documents and invoices. There are also an array of spare parts supplied with the vehicle; please contact for further details on these.

This BMW 700 LS is one of the finest examples of the breed, which benefits from recent cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment work. It would make a fine classic for gentle touring use, or as an addition to an eclectic BMW collection.
